these were done last week for Majid magazine...I'll try to post everyday or every other day..so stay tuned :)

Working on this made me think of giving some time with myself contemplating and reflecting..things are just happening and I'm a slow processor sometimes..it drains me sometimes..not always though..i crave people also :)...later :)

Swim(update)

colours in the mind

the story is about a blind girl and her struggle to get back to swimming >>the illustration portrays the girl trying to remember the sense of colours..

For the love of calligraphy ...

illustrations from a story I worked on recently..it’s about a boy whom his art teacher encourage him with calligraphy and drawing patterns..I like stories that have a sort of a personal passion to them and that can be a key to sanity through imagination :)

Tayoob & Tayooch

Intoducing: Tayoob & Tayooch...

these are 2 twins that are not alike in behaviour at all..as you can see one is on the wild side and the other is a little on the geeky side ..well let's say they both have there goods and bads...

These 2 characters -among others- are presented weekly in Majid Magazine..and obviously illustrated by me...

I'll post more of that later..but for now I will present this sequence showing a rare appearance of Tayooch wearing eye glasses...you can see his brother (and family) quite surprised!..and that's just to make it (of course) illegible to be a contribution to illustration Friday's "Eye glasses" topic of the week :)

well...here is some of Tayoob as well..he's always wearing these thin eye glasses anyway :)..so let's give him some love...

Driver Dan's Story Train

Long time no post again!!! been tooooo busy :)   Last year I had the pleasure of illustrating 2 stories to be told on the TV program  Driver Dan's Story Train and just recently they were aired for the first time on BBC cbeebies in the UK.. You can watch it only if you live in the UK for now on these links(not available for so long): -The Super Leap Sheep -The Wishing Carrot But the series will be aired again on PBS sprouts in American accent and Baraem TV in Arabic (2012/2013) can't wait to see them on these stations, so exciting !!! :) I managed to get some captures from the shows..so I'm sharing below some images from the show :) ---- From Episode titled: The super Leap Sheep...story title is : Who licked the ice cream... written by Rania Zaghir ------------------------------- From Episode titled : The Wishing Carrot .. story title is : Marat The Camel ...written by: Georges Estephan

I had the pleasure of illustrating this book, I haven't seen a mother who didn't love this book and wanted to read it to her kids. I find it's a very important-yet forgotten- subject..we live in a time where we forget to appreciate what's important sometimes and to give praise to many great mothers and what they go through to make their kids the best they could be and help them through life as well..it is a lot of work!!

I hope this would be translated to many languages !

Rihab has done an excellent job making this important book fun, attractive and easy to read..education via storytelling is done beautifully in this book..



I'm not going to comment on the illustrations as I was the illustrator ..all I can say I enjoyed working on the illustrations and feel proud to be a part of making this book.
